High School Programs

Petawa offers a number of programs for high school girls that promote service, friendships, leadership, and personal growth.

Monday Night Faith Fundamentals

Join us for an in-depth explanation of what it means to be Catholic. Topics include the Creed, the Ten Commandments, the Sacraments, and the Beatitudes- which enable Christians, with God's grace, to imitate Christ's life, make correct moral decisions, and spread the kingdom of God on earth.

When: every Monday at 5pm.

Come as early as 3:30pm to study before the activity begins! Stay for dinner at 6:00pm!

Service Saturdays

Spend some time each month in service to others! In the past we have visited elders in nursing homes, provided food for the homeless at a soup kitchen, and made meals for those in need.

When: 1st Saturday of the Month from 3-5pm

Recollection

This mini-retreat style afternoon includes:

  • a meditation, which is prayer time guided by a talk from the priest
  • questions to help you examine your conscience and reflect more deeply
  • the opportunity to go to confession or ask the priest for advice
  • silent personal prayer time

When: 3rd Saturday of the Month from 3-5pm

Where: Petawa

High School Retreats

A yearly retreat gives you the opportunity to reflect on your school work, family life, and relationships in the light of the basic truths of your faith.  Retreats include time for guided prayer with a priest, personal recollection, Holy Mass, and confessions.
